So this lynx has been hard at work with a personal sewing project, a soft-sculpture bird. This coming March 4th is my Da's birthday and being that he is the source of my artsiness I've long wanted to do something specially handmade for him but, painting and drawing, well, they never could do in my heart. (He's a painter, you know.) So! Utilizing my love of needlecraft, I've been holed up in my den every spare moment puzzling out this birdy. I've taken some inspiration and helpful hints from researched patterned and plushes but the pattern is entirely my own and well.. its still rather bumbly but I'm getting there! I'm going to put up a post t'morrow morning with all my sketches and scratches and Ted and Evan (my first two attempts), so anyone interested can see how its coming along!

This really makes me wish I had an honest-to-goodness camera and not a silly phone thing.
